Dedicated intervention team
The Canterbury Primary School provides an intervention facility to support pupils in developing their reading, writing, maths and speech and language skills.
Class teachers liaise regularly with the SENCO who will work with the intervention team and outside parties.
Here at The Canterbury Primary School, we have a pastoral team who work closely with the class teachers as well as external agencies.
We provide a nurturing facility for children with specific emotional needs.

Over the past year, we have developed a Special Resource Based Provision (SRBP) for pupils with Autism.
The provision has a qualified teacher and teaching assistants who provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils.
The pupils in Cavendish have access to the provision whenever is necessary, however as part of our service level agreement with Kent, the pupils access mainstream independently, of at least 50% of their timetable.
